The Sexual Revolution is Toxic.

Dr J’s Chats. Week 2, Episode 2.  The Sexual Revolution is Toxic. “You are your safest sex partner,” says the New York Department of Health. But they can’t bring themselves to tell people to knock off the casual sex. Listen in. 

This is the text of the chat recorded on May 5, 2020. 

But it was recently announced that Samaritan’s Purse will close its Central Park field hospital, after treating 315 patients.  This is due in part to pressure from city officials and LGBTQ activists. Corey Johnson, Speaker of the New York City Council recently demanded that the group not be allowed to continue providing COVID-19 relief.

What is the problem with Samaritan’s Purse? The organization and its leaders believe in man-woman marriage and oppose abortion.

This is absurd. Speaker Johnson accuses Samaritan’s Purse of anti-gay bigotry, while displaying anti-Christian prejudice himself.  We don’t need a religious test for helping to fight a pandemic. What Johnson calls bigotry is the traditional Christian view of marriage and life, common to all great world religions until five minutes ago.

There isn’t a shred of evidence that Samaritan’s Purse has turned anyone away or treated anyone unkindly out of “bigotry” or prejudice.

We might also note that New York City has pleaded for help from Washington throughout this crisis. Apparently, the City is perfectly willing to accept money from pro-life taxpayers. Does the City of New York presume that every taxpayer supports genderless marriage and unlimited abortion rights? Believe me, the taxpayers of Louisiana and Tennessee are not all that keen to assist decadent New York. The Sexual Revolutionaries can’t soil their hands by accepting direct voluntary assistance from Samaritan’s Purse. But extracting money from unwilling taxpayers under duress is just hunky dory.

Meanwhile, back in March, the New York City Health Department produced a memo explaining how to have safe sex during the pandemic. Here is what they said: “You are your safest sex partner. Masturbation will not spread COVID-19, especially if you wash your hands (and any sex toys).”

When I first read that, I thought it was a joke. I thought the New York Post was razzing them. But no. I looked it up. The memo from Gotham’s Health Department goes on, “If you do have sex, have as few partners as possible.”

Incredibly, this taxpayer supported department lamely advised, “If you usually meet your sex partners online or make a living by having sex, consider taking a break from in-person dates. Video dates, sexting or chat rooms may be options for you.”

In other words, the Big Apple’s Health Department couldn’t bring itself to even advise residents that they should abstain from sex with strangers during a major public health crisis.

So let’s put these two things together. New York City doesn’t want help from an Evangelical medical organization. After all, Samaritan’s Purse is run by heretics who dissent from the Prime Directive of the Sexual Revolution: thou shalt affirm all forms of sexual activity.

At the same time, New York City considers being “sex positive” such a high priority that they can’t even suggest that people abstain for a while.

The Sexual Revolution really is toxic. This ideology gets people killed. It is the very sort of ideology that provides cover for people like Jeffrey Epstein, who, by the way, did not kill himself.
